He was with the Department of Agricultural Engineering of Okayama Univ. as an Assistant Professor from 1985 to 1990. From 1991 to 1992, he was with the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology of Okayama Univ. as an Assistant Professor. Since April, 1993, he has been an Associate Professor of Faculty of Agriculture, Okayama Univ.
His research interests are in the area of robotics for bio-production, machine vision, and phytotechnology. Actually, he is now studying about many kinds of bio-production robots and about quality evaluation systems for agricultural products (See his activities!). However, he is simulataneously struggling to develop a new plant training system and a new cultivating method for robot's operation in a new bio-production system.
